Rescatux myths

Recover your files from Windows

Although you can actually run mount commands from command line (also known as terminal) to recover files from Windows it's much easier to do so from a Ubuntu live cd. This option might be integrated into Rescatux as a kind of wizard inside Rescapp but it's not sure when.

Limitations of current features

Restore Grub

Limitations of current tools

Gparted

Gparted 0.12.1 is the Debian Stable Gparted. It doesn't have the last features of Gparted which it's in its 0.16 version as the time of writing this page.

Limitations of current system

  • Current system is mainly based on Debian Stable.
  • Flash support is not builtin as it's not free as in freedom.
  • FakeRAID is not specifically supported
